How we choose tours

The nine tours featured on the homepage were selected based on three criteria, in this order:

1. Verified review count — we list the most-reviewed tours in each tier. The three Chianti coach tours, three full-day grand tours, and three small-group premium tours are all top-3 by GetYourGuide review volume in their respective categories at the time of build (May 2026).
2. Rating — we do not feature tours below 4.4 stars even if they have high review volume.
3. Categorical balance — we surface options across the full $55–$176 price range so first-timers, mid-range travelers, and wine enthusiasts each see a relevant option.

We do not favor higher-commission tours. GetYourGuide's commission rate is broadly consistent across tour categories, and the page rankings on this site track review volume and rating, not commission.
